Officials from Overland Park, Kan., and the greater Kansas City area
gathered June 11 at Cleveland Chiropractic College for a ribbon cutting
ceremony and open house at the educational institution’s
state-of-the-art public health center. Overland Park Mayor Carl Gerlach
and other local dignitaries joined Dr. Carl S. Cleveland III,
president, and Health Center Director Dr. Jeffrey Miller as they
officially opened the facility, which is the cornerstone of the
college’s new 34-acre campus at 10850 Lowell Ave. in Overland Park.
The more than 200 attendees enjoyed music provided by the Kansas City
Symphony’s Brass Ensemble. Boy Scout Troop 257 and Scoutmaster Brian
Miles from Overland Park Atonement Lutheran Church served as color
guard. Tracey Osborne, president of the Overland Park Chamber of
Commerce, as well as the Luann Feehan, director of member development
for the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce, were present to
participate in the ceremony.
