Interlibrary Loans

An interlibrary loan is the procedure by which a borrower has access to material that is not in the Library. The Library participates in DOCLINE, an electronic network of hospital and medical libraries locally and throughout the nation and is a member of CLIBCON, a chiropractic Library consortium. Requests are filled usually within a week.

Borrowers are responsible for returning materials to this Library by the indicated due date and any damage or loss.

The first five requests for students are $1.00 per request. After five requests, the charge will be the actual charge of the loan. This charge is assessed by the lending Library and can range from no charge to a charge of $12.00.

Literature searches

The Library provides online literature searches of numerous databases and the Internet for students, faculty and practitioners in the community. The charge is the actual online cost to the Library as a result of the search. With preapproval, the faculty and staff may charge the fee to their department. Charges for practitioners will vary depending upon the research request.
