The college is conveniently located in Kansas City's metropolitan area of over one million people within minutes of fun-filled activities and recreation. Kansas City also offers a variety of restaurants, shopping, parks, sports arenas, movies, night- life, and concerts. You can enjoy the convenience of living in one of the many affordable residential neighborhoods near campus as well as loft and downtown living. There are many opportunities to enjoy extracurricular activities and recreation both on and off campus including student organizations and intramural sports. Student organizations provide activities that promote the philosophy of chiropractic and support diversity.

Our goal, as MSAs, is to educate the student body on the importance of cultural diversity, as well as promote diversity among the campus and within the chiropractic profession. We try to present and illustrate the benefits of the chiropractic profession among colleges and the community by attending college campus events and giving presentations.

Hello, I am Jolie Crow, I am from Fairbanks, Alaska and I am in trimester 7 of 10 in the Doctor of Chiropractic program.  I knew it would be a life changing endeavor coming to chiropractic school so it was important to choose the right school for my needs.  I chose Cleveland - Kansas City because I was impressed with the curriculum, small class sizes, and the Kansas City area.  Also, I have a family and Kansas City was a good fit for everyone.  My husband was able to transfer jobs and my son is in a very good school district.  Although it is far from Fairbanks, my whole family has been very happy here and I know that leaving Kansas City will be very difficult when the time comes to move back to Alaska.

Here at Cleveland I am a Multicultural Student Advocate.  It is my goal to encourage a diverse student body to enhance cultural awareness.  I have travelled all over the world and have lived in several foreign countries and really believe exposure to a culture is the first step to understanding.  I am grateful that Cleveland has given me this opportunity to pursue my passion of cultural advocacy while pursuing my passion to become a chiropractor.

My name is Devin Jeanne Mobley. I am from a small town outside Wichita, Kansas. I have always been interested in pursuing a career in health and wellness field.  I started my undergraduate coursework at the University of Kansas in Pre-Dentistry/Pre-Med. I decided to opt for a change in scenery and finished my undergraduate requirements at Kansas State University, receiving my Bachelor in Kinesiology. I went through a series of personal experiences that made me rethink the direction I was headed.  I was in search of a less-invasive, more holistic approach to healthcare. My search introduced me to Chiropractic~ a safe, natural, hands-on approach to restoring and optimizing health. That path led me to a school with history and a campus with state-of-the-art facilities... Cleveland Chiropractic College. And, I could not be happier.

I am currently in Trimester 8 of 10 in the Doctor of Chiropractic program and I serve as one of the campus’ Multicultural Student Advocates. I was drawn to applying for the scholarship because my dad’s side of the family is Hispanic. I have always been intrigued by various cultures.

So, what does “cultural diversity” mean to me? It is a concept that goes beyond racial, religious, age, and gender classifications. It is about our different walks in life. We’re all different; and, yet, innately we are the same on so many levels. I believe in showing respect and appreciation for all cultures. While I do not pretend to know what every person is going through, I can say that I am constantly curious and always searching to know and experience that which makes us all unique. I believe that diversity in education is vital. It introduces us to what we will see in real-life practice and it offers us the opportunity to grow.

I am here to answer any questions to anyone that is interested in Chiropractic or the Cleveland campus or the MSA program.
