Vicki Dukes
My name is Vicki Dukes and I am currently in trimester 7/10. Prior to enrolling at CCC, I attended Wichita State University
and earned a bachelor’s degree in Sport Administration with a minor in marketing in 2002. After graduation, I worked in worked in Wichita, KS as a sales representative for five years before deciding to return to school and become a chiropractor.
While at Cleveland, I have been able to join many groups such as Mentors, Student American Chiropractic Association, Motion Palpation Institute and Sports Council. In addition to group involvement, I have attended weekend seminars and earned additional certifications to utilize when I am in practice. My experiences at CCC have been very positive and I look forward to the next year as I transition into the student and outpatient clinics.

Jamie Sloan
Hi everyone! I’m Jamie Sloan and I am just about to finish trimester 5 of 12 this spring. I was born and raised in St. Louis, MO along with two other siblings. My brother Bill is 29 and my sister Christine is 20, which makes me the middle child at 24 years old. I graduated high school in 2003 and went to Southeast Missouri State University for my first year of college. I came back home to attend St. Louis Community College for a year where I decided that I wanted to pursue a degree in Biology. I ended up at University of Missouri-Columbia where I received my bachelor’s degree in biological sciences in 2007 (Go Tigers!). While in my final semester at Mizzou I decided to explore chiropractic as an option for graduate school. I knew I wanted to work with people in some aspect of health care and when I began to explore the science and philosophy behind chiropractic, I was hooked. I chose Cleveland specifically for their immediate hands on experience (we start in Tri 1!) and because I wanted to stay in the Midwest close to my family.
I knew once I moved to Kansas City that I wanted to adopt a dog from a local shelter. Sophie, my beagle/basset hound mix is a wonderful roommate and just celebrated her 2nd birthday. Our favorite activities include walking down to the Country Club Plaza for brunch on Saturdays, running around the Nelson-Atkins Museum (we’re both addicted to exercise) and going to the many dog parks Kansas City has to offer. I’m expecting my first niece at the end of May and can’t wait to see her grow up under chiropractic care. If you have any questions don’t hesitate to email me at my personal email address jamie.sloan@my.cleveland.edu

Todd Steinbrecher
My name is Todd Steinbrecher and I am in trimester 1 of 12. I am enrolled in the BS/DC concurrent program which has been great. I grew up in Overland Park, KS. I joined the U.S. Navy in 1999 and served 9 years as a Search and Rescue Naval Aircrewman and Rescue Swimmer. I was stationed in Pensacola, Fl, San Diego, CA, Guam, and 3 long deployments to the Persian Gulf, Kuwait, and Iraq. It was a great way to spend my twenties and now I am carrying on our motto, “So Others May Live”, into a new more exciting profession, Chiropractic! I am going on 10 years of marriage with my best friend, Jessica. We have two beautiful girls that are 5 and 2 that we have loads of fun with.
I attended San Diego City College, when I could, while I was serving. Once I moved back to the area last year I knew I needed to finish my Bachelor Degree before entering the DC program. Although I was accepted to KU and Cleveland Chiropractic College (CCC) for undergraduate work, I chose CCC because it made more sense for me academically and financially. The undergrad coursework here is awesome! I feel so prepared for the DC program and believe that anyone who chooses to complete their undergrad in Human Biology at CCC is making a very wise choice! I look forward to seeing you on campus!

Bonnie Stribling
Hi! My name is Bonnie Stribling, and I am just starting trimester 6 of 10. I was born and raised in Nebraska, but moved to Oklahoma when I was in middle school (still a Huskers fan though… Go Big Red!). I graduated from the University of Tulsa in 2001 with a degree in Pre-Med and Mathematics. Instead of going to medical school, I went to work for a health insurance company as a programmer and project manager. Almost six years later I decided to return to the medical field, but with a much different perspective than when I left undergrad. After exploring the science and philosophy of chiropractic, I knew this is what I had to do, and I haven’t looked back since!
My experience here at Cleveland has been great so far, and I’m looking forward to starting my clinic internship next trimester! I enjoy participating in many of the activities and clubs the school has to offer. And when I’m not studying, I love to spend time with family and friends, and explore all that KC has to offer. I am happy to answer any questions you may have, so please don’t hesitate to email me at bonnie.stribling@my.cleveland.edu. I look forward to hearing from you!
